Frank Browne

An Australian far right activist. Browne became notorious for founding Australia’s first far right neo fascist group called the Australian Party in 1955, a short lived group that would last only a few years. He became closely associated with Australian neo Nazi leader Arthur Smith, future founder and leader of the Australian National Socialist Party.

Browne, a fringe journalist, built an intricate network of connections in America with likeminded far right activists and intellectuals. He was particularly close with American Christian nationalist ideologue Gerald L.K Smith. Browne remained active in the far right until his death in 1981.
