Moffat is a far right activist based in Sydney. He began his career within the xenophobic nationalist political party Australians Against Further Immigration. Moffat stood as a candidate on the AAFI’s behalf.

Following the AAFI’s collapse, Moffat became involved in the Australia First Party. He ran on the party’s behalf in Cronulla. He was known for exploiting the issue of the Cronulla riots and even attempted to show up on its one year anniversary and celebrate it with Jim Saleam.
