A far right politician from Ayr, Queensland. Knuth entered into politics as a member of the One Nation Party. He was elected to the seat of Burdekin in the 1998 election, a seat that he held until being defeated by Labor in 2001. Knuth was a prominent member of the party, acting as party whip and spokesperson on issues for housing.
Knuth split from One Nation to form his own smaller right wing New Country Party in 1999 which was dissolved a year later. He then went on to join another ONP splinter party the City Country Alliance. Knuth would contest the 2004 state election with the backing of the Katter’s Australia Party.
In 2014 Knuff re-joined the One Nation Party.
