Richard Lalich

A far right anti Islam activist from Sydney. Lalich served in the Australian armed forces, touring overseas in Iraq. Following his return to Australia, Lalich was charged for assaulting a female police officer whilst drunk in Melbourne, for which he claimed was a result of his suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Lalich went on to become active in the anti Islam extremist group the Australian Defence League. He helped organise and MC a tiny and highly disorientated anti Islam rally alongside the Australian Protectionist Party in Sydney’s Martin Place in July 2011. This would be one of the first of its kind with no more than 30 people showing up.

Since his ADL days, Lalich seems to have evaporated from public space. He has resurfaced as an alt right fan, turning up at the Party for Freedom organised anti refugee rally in Eltham on the 5th of November in 2016.
