A far right politician from Cairns, Queensland. Rappolt worked as a mine manager, prospector and financier prior to his involvement in politics. He joined the far right One Nation Party, being elected to the seat of Mulgrave.
Rappolt’s stint as an MP would be short-lived. He was exposed by the media for charges of domestic violence against his then partner. As a result he was disgraced and lost his seat. He was found hanging from a rope a year later. Justice prevails.
