David Archibald

A right wing author and politician from Perth. Archibald is a Geologist who worked for the Summa Development Ltd. He joined the far right Islamophobic political party the Australian Liberty Alliance, running as the party’s candidate for the seat of Curtin in the 2016 election.

Archibald is known throughout his career as a climate skeptic. He was a member of the conservative climate change denial Lavoisier Group which produces revisionist material that denies the existence of global warming. Archibald has gone as far as to claim increases in carbon dioxide is a “beneficial” thing. His idiotic views can be found (or not) in his fraudulent works such as Australia’s Defence, The Twilight of Abundance, Energy and Environment and his website Davidarchibald.info. He is also a member of the Institute of World Politics, which specialises in counter intelligence and statecraft and a frequent contributor to Quadrant.

Following the total nose dive of the ALA in the elections, Archibald threw his lot in with the One Nation Party, standing as their candidate for Pilbara in the WA elections. He was targeted by the media after his comments had caught up with him regarding women and indigenous people. Archibald has claimed that the stolen generation was a fabricated myth and said of single mothers that they are “too lazy to attract and hold a mate, undoing the work of possibly 3 million years of evolutionary pressure. This will result in a rapid rise of the population that is lazy and ugly.”
