A far right politician from Subiaco, WA. Hough was a prominent member of the One Nation Party, being elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council for the Agricultural Region. The ONWA branch which Hough was a leading figure of was renowned for its online links to white supremacist groups, containing a link to the anti Semitic ‘The Big Ears Report’.

Hough was a leading figure in orchestrating a split from the ONP to form the New Country Party in 2003. This project turned out to be a failure with Knuth loosing his seat in the 2005 election. He would return to politics in 2013 as a member of the Palmer United Party, being their candidate for Pearce.
