An Australian right wing conservative activist and philanthropist. Evans is a wealthy businessman. He worked as an executive officer for the Western Mining Corporation, which made him considerably rich. He is also the director of his own business called Ray Evans & Associates, a business & economics consultancy agency.
Evans is best known for his conservative philanthropy. He is a founding and leading member of the New Right conservative think tank the H.R. Nicholls Society. He is known for his climate skeptic views. He channels his efforts into opposing environmentalism and climate change; often referring to global warming as “bullshit”.
Evans is a long-time funder of several right wing groups including the climate-sceptic Lavoisier Group, the Bennelong Society that is dedicated to discouraging Aboriginal land rights and the Samuel Griffith Society a monarchist group. He attended the anti Islam Reclaim Australia rally in Sydney.
